What is the belief in the hereafter?
Muslims' beliefs about the Hereafter include:
Belief in the resurrection and gathering of all people: It is the resurrection of all the dead in their graves, their spirits returning to their bodies. All mankind rises to the Lord of the universe. They are then assembled in one place. They had the same shoes and clothes as when they were first created from their womb. 1 The belief that all who are in the grave are resurrected is what the Bible should read. And we firmly believe that Allah will resurrect all who are in the grave, the spirits will return to their bodies, and all mankind will rise to the Lord of the universe.
Allah has said: "Then you will surely die (after death). Then you will be resurrected in the Hereafter." (Bible reading 23: 15-16)
All the Scriptures that are buried in the heavens agree with this, for it is the most important of all senses: it is necessary for Allah to create for every creature a recompense in order to provide them with what He requires of them through His messengers. Allah says: "Do you think that I have made you a joke, and that you should not return to me?" (Bible reading 23:11)
